-
What is the role of the parent?
Parent participation is essential to their client’s progress. Since sessions are in-home, we encourage parents and family members to participate in the session when possible. In addition, for clients under 18 years of age, or who have a guardianship, we require parents/caregivers to attend a minimum of 1 hour of caregiver collaboration meetings with the Behavior Analyst.
-
How long does therapy last?
This depends on many factors (hours of treatment received, consistency of implementing protocols outside of sessions, starting age and level of skills, consistency of therapy sessions, and more!). There is no definitive timeline, but research shows that the earlier you get started then the more impact can be made by ABA.
-
Is ABA only for children with autism?
ABA has been used for so many things beyond autism! It has grown popular in the autism area due to research showing it to be the most effective treatment for autism symptoms.

Can my child receive ABA therapy if they already receive Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and/or Physical therapy?
Absolutely! Your child can receive ABA in addition to other services. In fact, combining these therapies can be highly beneficial, as each addresses different areas of development. We encourage families to pursue all recommended treatments to support their child’s progress. Our team is committed to collaborating with your child’s other service providers to ensure a coordinated and effective approach tailored to your child’s unique needs.
