FAQs

Will Snacks Be Provided?

Snacks will not be provided. The first 30 minutes of each day will be a time for the children to eat lunch together. We ask that families pack lunch, snacks, and drinks for their child each day.

Can I pack Peanut Snacks?

We are a nut-free program. We ask that no nuts (peanuts, tree nuts, etc.) are brought into the program space.

Will My child have 1:1 support?

Children will be in groups with a 4:1 or 3:1 ratio (children to RBT), therefore they will not have 1:1 support. Although, our staff are trained to provide support as needed and a BCBA will be in the facility at all times to provide additional support when necessary. Children should be able to independently request the bathroom as we are not able to take them on a schedule.

Do I have to sign up for all 6 weeks?

Yes, participants are required to attend majority of the sessions across 6 weeks as the curriculum builds on each day and across each week.

Who Is Eligible to attend?

Many children who attend have a diagnosis of autism or ADHD, but we also welcome peers! Children require at minimum an approximately 4-year-old language level to meaningfully access the program content.

Who will be leading the groups?

Each group is led by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). RBTs are guided by a BCBA in implementing the social skills group curriculum. ABA Interns will also be present to support the RBTs and their groups with setting up of activities and encouraging each child to engage.
